Cool bear petroglyph! Potash Road Rock Art

One of the coolest glyphs I've ever seen!
On our fall Moab adventure, my goal was to hike to Delicate Arch at sunrise and to see as much rock art as I could possibly cram into 4 days.

There are SO MANY (I mean, SO MANY!!) rock art panels in Moab. But on Potash Road (or Byway 279), there are ridiculously amazing panels that are literally on the side of the road (you don't even have to leave your car! But we did... because of course you should!)

Here are a bunch that we saw within 1/2 mile span. I wish I had alllll day because I'd seriously just hike around, crawling up into every single alcove or crack :)

Getting there: From Highway 191 take Utah Scenic Byway 279 (Potash Road) south for 5 miles where you will find an "Indian Writing" interpretive road sign and pull out adjacent to the river.
